Collie Farmhouse is where I wind down, relax and recharge. Where else can one see Osprey, Peregrine Falcons, Kingfishers, Otter, Deer and an abundance of wild flowers all within walking distance of the house?
People say that we return from our stay at Collie Farmhouse looking fit and walking tall.

We have been coming to Delfur for many years and it just gets better and better. Fishing somehow becomes secondary when you consider the warmth of the housekeeper and the gillies, this just makes our holiday complete. Collie Farmhouse is very comfortable and ideal for our party. This was our first stay at Collie Farmhouse although we have fished Delfur for over 30 years. The house and staff way exceeded our expectations and we look forward to repeated visits in the years to come.

We were privileged to be the first guests in Collie Farmhouse back in 1994, each year since our party has not only caught fish but also came back to a warm, very comfortable house with plenty of hot water, essential for the spring fisher. The housekeeper keeps the house in immaculate order and is always more than helpful. We are so lucky to be back year after year.

Myself and my fishing guests have been staying one week a year for the past three years at Collie and certainly hope to stay there again in the future. Due to the fishing beat we do not need to enter the public highway which is a great advantage. Collie Farmhouse itself has a "happy atmosphere" and is kept so clean and tidy. I can only thank all those close who provide their labour in maintaining the dwelling and to the owner for our pleasure.

Collie Farmhouse is delightful, it is kept in immaculate order and any problems is sorted rapidly. The house is so spacious, well situated and surrounded by fields and trees. The logistics of life are easily achieved and orders of food or wine are secured safely by the house staff. In short everything works and it is an enormous pleasure to live close to a great river all be it for a short period.

Collie Farmhouse is a home from home. only better than that! more comfortable and stylish there. The housekeeping and catering facilities are excellent. This is a wonderful place to relax for a week. Perhaps also a special place to get engaged (which we did). We have seen salmon caught in the river (30lbs & 27lbs) as well as Peregrine falcons, Osprey, Sandmartins, Kingfishers and many many beautiful pheasants.

Collie Farmhouse is ideal for a family either coming for the fishing or a relaxing holiday. It is much bigger than it looks. Sandra is wonderful at looking after you. Tesco will deliver which makes shopping very easy. The stream at the end of the garden kept our young family entertained for hours. Lovely time was had.

WOW.. We were only there for 5 days and wished we could stay longer. We stayed mid March and were so lucky to wake up in a blanket of snow, it was so beautifull. The farmhouse was delightful, cosy and so relaxing, we wanted for nothing. We will be back next year.

We have just returned from a week at Collie Farmhouse and had wonderful weather altough a bit frosty in the early morning, it was one of the best prepared holiday houses we have ever stayed in. A very relaxing week with lots of cosy nights in front of the fire.
